StillTurns is designed with data minimisation in mind. This website does not load web fonts, analytics scripts, advertising networks or other third-party content and does not use cookies for language selection or the simple visit counter.

2. Website access and hosting

When the website is accessed, the web server technically processes the information required to establish the HTTP connection. Depending on the hosting configuration, server logs may contain information such as the IP address, time of access, requested file and browser information.

3. Language selection

The website only evaluates the Accept-Language HTTP header supplied by the browser. If German is the preferred language, the German version is served; otherwise the English version is used. No IP-based geolocation is performed and StillTurns does not store the language preference.

4. Simple aggregate counters

StillTurns uses three simple server-side totals: home-page views, clicks on the Google Play link and clicks on the manual APK download.

Only these three running totals are stored. The counter does not create an event log and does not store an IP address, user agent, language, referrer or timestamp. It does not use cookies or local browser storage.

When Google Play or the manual download is clicked, a local StillTurns endpoint is opened first. It only increments the corresponding total and then redirects to the configured destination.

These values are not unique-user or installation counts. Repeated page views and repeated clicks may be counted more than once.

5. Cookies, external content and tracking

StillTurns currently does not embed external resources, analytics, advertising or social-media tracking services. The files required for the website design are hosted on the same web server.

6. Google Play, GitHub and the StillTurns app

The website may link to Google Play and to the public GitHub project. These services are not embedded in the website. Only when you actively follow such a link do you leave stillturns.org and the respective provider's privacy terms apply.

The StillTurns app is designed to work locally: selected books are processed on the Android device and made available through a local server started by the user. StillTurns currently contains no advertising or analytics services.

8. Your rights
