The technology can be complicated. Using it should not be.
Simple
StillTurns handles the legacy format. You choose the book and download it on the reader.
Open
Source code is available. No ads, no tracking and no requirement to stay inside a closed ecosystem.
Good hardware deserves to stay useful.
StillTurns is being built for e-readers that still work well but are increasingly left behind by modern platforms.
Our first reference device is the first-generation Kindle Paperwhite. More real-device compatibility tests are planned.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a PC or USB cable?
No. StillTurns runs on Android. The phone and e-reader only need to be on the same local Wi-Fi network.
Are my books uploaded to a cloud?
No. Processing and transfer are local.
Which books can StillTurns process?
The first release focuses on DRM-free EPUB files. For older Kindle devices, StillTurns creates a legacy MOBI6 file.
Does StillTurns work with library or other DRM-protected books?
The first release does not remove or bypass DRM. Any future library integration is intended to use official, licence-compliant interfaces only.
How is the website language selected?
